(200 words) A peasant woman brought her young son to see a doctor. The boy examines the patients in line with curiosity, but soon the doctor calls them. The examination ends with abuse: the doctor blames the woman for being late, and now the child has an amputated arm amputated. But the heroine only pliable and laconic answers that the doctor knows better, and says that she did not think that a simple bruise would result in such consequences. Her son is afraid of the doctor and the hospital, but surrenders to the doctor’s entreaties. He promises the patient to show him animals and bring him to the fair. This is a whole event for the boy, because he lives poorly and does not go anywhere.
Having settled in the ward, he sees an old man who whistles when breathing. But the unpleasant impression smoothes the food. The food in the hospital is very good compared to the house, and the hero is happy that he got here: he receives the first, second and bread. The text mentions that he sees fried meat for the first time in his life.
After plentiful food the boy falls asleep, but at night he is awakened by a commotion in the room. An old neighbor died. Mad with horror, the hero tries to escape from the hospital, but realizes that he does not know where to go. As a result, he finds the doctor’s office and goes to him. The doctor reassures the fugitive and says that there would be no one to punish him.
